My Story (The Adventures of Valkoor Dragonthorn from a Friends Point of View)

After I defeated Malistare I was about to throw a huge party when Gamma called me to Merel Ambrose’s office when I got there Ambrose’s face looked very sick, his face was dark shade of green, and he was getting skinnier by the minute he was merely skin and bones. He spoke no words, he just handed me a decent sized, metallic purple key with a crystal that had a picture of a crab poorly scratched into the raw material of the crystal it self attached to the top. I figured it would be a portal key so I went home and strapped on my bat wings. When I was in front of Bartelby I looked up and he spoke these words “I see you have the key of all keys, the key that connects every little piece of matter from a speck of dust to the very spiral itself.” He then fell asleep, I stood there confused momentarily and the next thing I know Bartleby said in his sleep “I hope he will live, it would be a shame to see such a young one die.” After that I got kind of scared so I told my best friends to teleport in the end we had a full team Brandon Nightblade, Thomas Lionblood, Joshua Thunderflame, and me, Valkoor Dragonthorn. So overall there was a myth, a life, a death, and me the best school of all fire.

When we were inside Bartleby it was darker than usual we all looked up and realized there was a solar eclipse. So Josh said “Okay let’s go to whatever world this leads to.” So we slowly and carefully approached the spiral door, I then put the luminescent key in the slot all of the sudden it started buzzing and the whole chamber was flooded with a pale purple glow all coming from the key. I opened the door and realized we were underwater and yet we could breath! Thomas having to be the smart one said “How can we breathe here!” We were all thinking about that when Brandon starts rubbing his neck and runs over three slits in his throat after some thought we realize we all have gills!





Then something almost as weird happens we realize there are no people or houses but there are two things first of all there are what appear to be crab people lying on the ground sleeping but there are a few that are still awake and they asking us to go into the second weird thing a crystal clear glass dome holding a single sparkling castle. The one told us his name was Glanden said “After you go inside that dreaded place you may leave this dreaded world that we, the sea crustaceans are forced to call home.” After that I asked “What exactly is this world called?” Then Glanden spoke one single word “Celestia.” Everyone got nervous after that and we made are way towards the castle on the way some of the crustaceans woke up and started praising us and started saying things like “The prophecy has come true the four that are one have come to save our souls.” When we were about thirty yards away Josh and Brandon got impatient and battle hungry and said at the exact same time “Were are all the monsters I want to kill something.” But apparently there were no monsters to be seen.

When we entered the castle we learned why this place was dreaded and why there was only one quest we had to defeat Meowiarty, the Jade Oni, Malistare, and the sinister ruler of Celestia, King Claw. Then Josh and Brandon just couldn’t wait anymore and screamed “ATTACK!” and jumped into fight but just before that King Claw said in a deep scratchy “Be mindful of what you are about to bring upon yourselves puny, little wizards.” But just before the battle started Thomas and I noticed something different about this and we yelled “Stop!” We thought about it for a minute and realized we already defeated Meowiarty, the Jade Oni, and Malistare. Then King Claw saw us thinking and said “If you are wondering how all of them got here it is simply because I resurrected them from the dead this morning while the solar eclipse was at its peak, I used the power of the sun and moon to increase the power of my Astral magic. We all gasped in shock for the only people or creatures in the spiral that know Astral magic are





Ambrose and Malistare, apparently we were wrong. So then we all slowly walked into the battle. When the Triangle of Magic appeared under our feet there were four new circles with are faces in them. Meowiarty was gone fairly easy since Thomas used wraith and I used helephant. Jade Oni took three of us to kill my phoenix, Joshua’s centaur, and Thomas’s poison. Malistare took all four of us, my heck hound, Joshua’s nature’s wraith, another one of Thomas’s wraith, and one of Brandon’s cyclopses. Killing King Claw was not the easiest thing to do it took all we had, my fire dragon, Thomas’s skeletal pirate, another one of Joshua’s centaurs, and Brandon’s last minotaur left.

Finally that dreaded battle was over, but just at that very moment are faces disappeared from the circles and were replaced with a star, a moon, the sun, and a picture of Merel Ambrose. There was also one more picture of me holding a key and wearing Ambrose’s robes. So we went back to the spiral door, everyone was silent. When we made it back to Merel Ambrose’s house at last he was nowhere to be found Gamma said “Valkoor, come read this note he left you.” The note said “Valkoor, if you are reading this it means my time has come and I am dead do not try to bring me back it is simply just the circle of life. So you are probably wondering who will be the new headmaster now that I am gone. Well, it is you. Your friends are also the newest professors of Astral magic. The star, the moon, and the sun are the one once again.” So I walked back over to my friends and murmured “Good new or bad news.” They all simultaneously said “Bad.” I then spoke these four dreaded words “Merle Ambrose is dead.” They all gasped in unison from the shock of what they had just heard then Thomas spoke up and asked “Who will be the headmaster?” I paused for a minute picked up Ambrose’s wand and said “Good news, me, and you three are the new professors of the long lost magic of Astral magic.” So after that we went to Mooshu, the greatest place of all. Next thing we know we are in a fight. The three of us knew it would take us awhile to gain pips to kill the ninja pig, but since Brandon got trapped in another fight, there were only three of us. Suddenly a girl joined the fight and Joshua got mad. “Beat it girlie!” he said. She smiled, gained four power pips added to her two pips, and killed the ninja pig with a Colossus. She laughed and said, “Now what was that you wanted to say to me?” Josh gaped and said, “Never mind! Hey what is your name anyway?” He seemed to have blushed. Still I didn’t know why. I hadn’t seen her face. She turned around and I suddenly knew what made Josh act so funny. “The name is Esmee Pixieeyes. Now I need to find the headmaster’s key if you don’t mind. Gama told me to find Headmaster Valkoor. Have you seen him?” I then raised my hand.

I didn’t know what just happened, but somehow Esmee was now in our group. The only girl I had even cared to look at. I never would have the guts to ask her to dinner though, even though I was in an official Ninja Clan. I was second rank in that clan and if that didn’t impress her, being headmaster would. She looked at me and laughed. “Uh, you have a bug on your nose. It’s ok I’ll get it!” She rubbed her finger on my nose and showed me the bug, smiled, and put it on the ground. “It’s ok little bug! Run on free.” Thomas rolled his eyes and I elbowed him. “OW! What was that for?” She looked at us and laughed super hard. So I asked “What key are you talking about any ways?” Esmee, in shock, “What do you mean what key, don’t you have it?” I said “Seriously I have no clue what you are talking about.” After that we ported back to my house and we were talking about the key then something in my robe pocket that gave off an ominous green glow, it was the key. Everyone stared at it in awe until finally Thomas spoke up “Is that what I think it is?” Then Esmee looked at the wrinkled picture of the key that Gamma had given her. They were the same. There was also a tag on the key it said this “Property of the Headmaster, if found please use immediately.” We all walked over to the portal door in silence. I was about to put they key in the door when Esmee asked “Can I do it.” I handed her the key and when she was about to put it in the key started to glow brighter. The portal door flung it self wide open. Brandon stepped in first after a couple of minutes we were getting worried then all of a sudden he said “Guys hurry up and get in here it’s awesome.” When we were inside all we saw was a humongous castle made from gray bricks. There were two green pet dragons sleeping on the roof. The sun was shining and the birds were singing it was amazing. We went inside there was a long hall there were ten rooms and in the blink of an eye there was five plaques on the first five rooms ice, myth, life, death, and an odd symbol with a picture of the wand I was holding which I cleverly named The Master Staff and there was a snake intertwined into the staff I looked at my staff and a snake appeared on it. After that we went to are rooms and went to bed.

The next morning there was a stranger wearing a brown hooded robe outside by the dragons. Thomas was in a bad mood because he didn’t get enough sleep last night so he stormed up there and threw back the stranger’s hood it was Ambrose! He looked very pale though. We all said in shock “Headmaster is that you?” He came forth and admitted “Yes, I am Ambrose but I am only the ghost of my formal self, a mere wisp in the wind.” We all pondered that thought for a moment. I said “But then how are you standing here before us?” He said “That young Valkoor is the full power and potential of my Astral magic.” We were all shocked we had no idea Astral magic was that powerful. When I was day dreaming I realized we were the new professors of Astral magic then I said “Wait, we are the new professors of Astral magic and we don’t even know how to wield that element yet, how do we do that?” Merel Ambrose, as cryptic as ever spoke know words he only handed Esmee a key that resembled a samurai sword. With that Esmee left us and went threw the portal door. But just before that she asked “Valkoor, will you come with me?” I gladly obliged and went with her. I gave Josh, Brandon, and Thomas a ninja challenge to do while I was gone they had to gather all their grand master gear. If they finished with that they had to write an essay on their school’s pros and cons.

Meanwhile at Ambrose’s old office in Wizard City, we in the library section looking threw the books when we came across one that said Merel Ambrose Sr. Esmee said “There is no way that is Merle’s dad, they look to much a like” when we were looking at the picture in the book. I flipped threw a couple more pages when I came across a page that said that Malistare’s dad and Merle’s father were pit in battle before their sons were born. I turned to the last page and there were two things one a business card with the name Dr. Rip Van Dune and there was yet another portal key only this one looked like a gear, a one big electrified bronze gear. After that we went to go get the rest of the crew after that we went to see Gamma and see if he knew who Dr. Rip Van Dune was. When we got there Gamma said “Old Rip Van is a psychotic feline, he left Marleybone after he built his time machine, I assume that key you have will take you to him.” With that in mind we once again went to the portal and once again put they key in the lock and stepped threw. On the other side it looked like a Frankenstein movie with chemicals bubbling over and a crazy chaotic laugh you can hear faintly in the background. We walked down the hall and saw what looked like an electrified, over large portal door. Then the door slid open and the Dr. pushed us in and screamed “That will teach you to snoop around my house you young whippersnappers!”

Then in that time Merel Ambrose’s father was waiting for us. The scene was so gruesome there were injured wizards and dead monsters everywhere. Medics were coming to get the wizards though. Merel’s father then said “Come wizards we must go now before they find us.” We all started walking and I asked “Were we going anyway?” As cryptic as ever (just like his son) he just pointed to a building that resembled Skythorn Tower in Dragonspyre only it was a dark blue color and it was wider. When we were all inside the building I asked “Were are we, ands what’s your name.” Still cryptic he pointed to a set of words engraved into the wall it said “Welcome to Safe house #10” After being cryptic he sat down behind a desk that was a mirror image of the one in the Headmaster’s office back in Wizard City and said “My name is Merel Ambrose.”
